Multidisciplinary artist Mackenzie Younger has turned his attention to fashion. Most recently collaborating with the Museum of Modern Art to produce a series of limited edition jackets in correspondence with the exhibition ‘Items; is Fashion Modern?’. These jackets, decorated in artworks from the museums permanent collection address ideas around public domain, bootleg culture and institutional endorsement. Prior to his collaboration with MoMA, Younger created a series of ‘Art World Bombers’ which used a similar visual composition but with logos from galleries, institutions and museums. Jackets in this series became a sensation over night do to their mysterious appearances at events, radical context and aesthetic value as well designed garments.
