Mackenzie Younger (b. 1990 NYC) is best known for jackets that recontextualize art world logos, and paintings of early American art superimposed on iPhones. Younger's mediums range depending on the project and conceptually, he is interested in “the landscape over portraits”. That being art which explores larger cultural trends, socioeconomics and historical influences instead of intimate themes. Fundamentally Younger strives for artistic mobility; a life which he can contribute creatively to multiple industries and sciences. Younger also runs a landscape company specializing in native plants, habitat creation and insect ecology. Do to the diversity of Younger’s processes, mediums and vocations his practice as-a-whole is often hard to define.
